A dream location
The Torre Glòries, or Torre Agbar, is a 142-metre-tall skyscraper in Barcelona. This cylindrical building was designed by the famous architect Jean Nouvel and opened in 2005. The building is located at the entrance to the 22@ district, which is known for its pioneering work in the development of the knowledge industry. Furthermore, the building has 26 floors for offices and offers privileged 360-degree views.
Environmentally Responsible Building
In 2017, the largest Spanish real estate company, Merlín Properties, bought the tower and invested 15 million in the building's renovation. In May 2018, the 27,090.69 m2 of offices were ready to accommodate its tenants spread over 34 floors above ground. The B720 architects' office in Barcelona, with which Jean Nouvel was affiliated, has been chosen to renovate the tower to suit current demands and requirements.
The building has received LEED Gold and BREEAM Excellent sustainability certifications, which means that it meets the most rigorous environmental standards. This makes the building a valuable asset for companies that care about being environmentally responsible.
