An origami-inspired acoustic ceiling
In Mallorca, Spain, the 5-star Llaut Palace Hotel had to contend with some difficult circumstances when endeavouring to maintain a beautiful artistic vision and exceptional visual aesthetics . One of the most challenging elements was creating a restaurant ceiling design with an inverted pyramidstructure, inspired by the fine art of origami and its geometry. This ceiling system would create geometric ripples throughout the communal space of the hotel.
“We wanted to transmit this sensation of lightness; the element of origami communicates movement and flexibility, expanding the space of the room,” explains Guerrero.

Today the Llaut Palace Hotel features a stunning interior ceiling with an inverted pyramid design, which works in perfect harmony with the restaurant creating a quiet space and a beautiful indoor environment for the guests to enjoy.
