At Copenhagen Central Station is the old, beautiful building, which was previously a post office and which has now been converted into Hotel Villa, a modern luxury hotel. A hotel that in the most beautiful way combines the old history of the building with modern design suitable for a hotel in the luxury class.
When you walk over the bridge at Tietgensgade and Bernstorffsgade you see the facade of the old, beautiful post office, and when you walk through the doors you understand the fantastic transformation it has been. To create a luxury hotel of 25,000 m2 with 390 rooms with the framework of an old and dilapidated post office. The transformation includes raised courtyards, green gardens and a rooftop pool.
The ceilings are thought into the decor
Hotel Villa is not a classic luxury hotel in the usual sense. On the other hand, there is a clear expression of Nordic design with exclusive furniture and a choice of colors in muted, exclusive shades. This applies to everything from the wide corridors, the well-appointed rooms to the beautiful conference area and the cozy restaurants. Everywhere, the ceiling is included in the design and decor - the ceiling is used as an active, creative surface to create a complete environment and decor.
Conference rooms with acoustic panels provide an exclusive décor
When staying in the conference area, it is quite clear that the ceilings have been actively worked on as part of the decor. Both as sound-absorbing materials and as a design element. The beautiful panels made of Rockfon Blanka® acoustic panels in standard size and the interaction with the diagonal moldings, give a feeling of luxury and exclusivity, while there is a pleasant subdued sound in both the meeting rooms and the hallways.
Colored ceilings provide tranquility
In corridors, they have chosen to work with the shades of gray on walls, floors and ceilings. In this way, all the surfaces complicate each other and create a coherence. The gray ceiling tiles are from the Rockfon Color-all® line, where acoustics and colors go hand in hand. "We think it is exciting that the architects have chosen a colored solution", says Specification Manager Finn Jørgensen and continues "it is always fun to experience how colors work together and that our solutions create value both visually and acoustically".
