Starting in 2026, AMPYR Solar Europe will supply ROCKWOOL B.V. more than 50 GWh of renewable electricity annually from a new 96 MWp solar park in the Noordoostpolder municipality in the Netherlands. The solar energy, together with Guarantees of Origin certifications, will be physically delivered to the ROCKWOOL factory in Roermond in the Netherlands as part of a decade-long power purchase agreement.

AMPYR Solar Europe is an independent solar developer and independent power producer with inhouse end-to-end capacity in asset development, financing, construction, operation, and energy sales.

This is a big step forward in Rockfon’s decarbonisation journey. 100 percent of the electricity at our stone wool factories is currently matched with green energy certificates. With this agreement, we go even further, securing physical delivery of green electrons to our manufacturing site.
