In recent years, we’ve come to realise the big impact that climate change has on our lives and what it will mean for future generations. Being conscious of that, we recognise that we play a role and bear a responsibility to transition to more sustainable practices and processes.
We, as part of ROCKWOOL Group, are continuously looking to accelerate our decarbonisation efforts and contribute to our ambitious goal of reducing our carbon footprint in all our factories by 20% by the year 2030, as well as increasing our energy efficiency.
Our documented performance
To learn how we are working to meet our ambitious targets, download our sustainability report.
If you are interested to know more about Rockfon products in particular, please visit our Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). You can find it on our website or on local databases like EPD Norge, IBU and UL.
The EPD is a technical document, which is verified by a third party, providing you with trusted and essential information related to our products. It measures the impact of our products across various environmental, resource and waste criteria.
Our EPD covers our full product range with the product scaling formula. If you are in doubt, you are always welcome to contact our customer service team; they will be able to help you with any request.
A quantified improvement
This year we are delighted and proud because we did not only manage to update our EPDs, but we also managed to reduce our environmental impact. You will now find that we’ve successfully improved the environmental profile of our acoustic solutions by more than 10%, which is documented in our EPDs. We have managed to achieve this through our continued focus on energy efficiency and the greening of the remaining electricity we consume.
We are continuously monitoring our environmental performance, and we are always trying to set our sustainable ambitions higher, so stay tuned for our next step!
